Incredibly, there are at least three barbed wire museums in the USA. The question setter missed the one in DeKalb, Illinois – home town of three of what Wikipedia calls 'the "Big Four" in barbed wire': Joseph Glidden, the inventor of barbed wire; Isaac Ellwood, who became Glidden's business partner; Charles Francis Washburn (of whom Wikipedia has nothing more to tell us) and Jacob Haish, who invented a different type of barbed wire.
